[IMG=53::L]In my [LINK=1]Day One Impressions[/LINK] article I talked on and on about all of my initial observations but didn't give you one lousy photo to enjoy. For today's installment, I'm going in the completely opposite direction. Photos, photos, and more photos, with only minor commentary.

Ever wonder how the Zodiac stacks up size-wise with the Palm OS PDA that started it all? How about the latest and greatest teensy tiny iPaqs? If gaming's your thing, perhaps you'd care to feast your eyes on how the Zodiac compares to some of the classic portable color game consoles that never quite took off.

You would? Well, read on to enjoy this fun-filled geek smorgasbord.

Those are great pics, Scott.

I didn't know you played with barbies, though. Wink

Too bad that the Atari Lynx never took off.

I had to sneak her out of my daughter's bedroom while she was asleep last night. I was going for the "Vanna White / Wheel of Fortune" look.

Sadly, no. Otherwise I would have photographed it. I also would have liked to have been able to photograph the Zodiac next to an N-Gage.

Who says you can't have both :-)

My Z2 is loaded with two 256 MB cards right now, so I am having 640 MB of total RAM in my pocket while typing on this crappy work laptop with 256 MB RAM (I know, it's not a fair comparison because the laptop also has a 14 GB hard disk, but still).

Realistically, though, there's probably not much that you'd gain from having 128 MB onboard (and I am saying that with the Z2 in my pocket). It probably also depends very much on how long you expect to use the Zodiac, i.e., how often you upgrade. If you upgrade/switch devices often, you may actually never get to the point where you benefit from the extra RAM the Z2 has to offer.

Scott, speaking of remotes, does the Zodiac work as a remote with a program such as Omniremote (palmgear.com). Have you tried this yet? What is the Zodiacs approx. range as a remote? If you have not tried this, there is a free trial version of Omniremote at

Thanks
