I went to my local CompUSA store last night (San Bruno, CA), but they had neither the demo display nor the actual devices on display. I asked an employee, but he didn't know nothing.

I did see what I think is going to be the area where they'll place the demo display.

Nice Bigfoot pic Smile

I luck out by having 2 CompUSAs in my area (Norfolk an Newport News, VA). I'll guess I'll need to see both soon.

Scott ever think about a tapland sticker that people could put on the displays at these stores?

goomba-god, I love the idea, but CompUSA might consider putting stickers on their display devices vandalism.

BTW, I just updated this article with some new bits of info. First, there's an official press release on the wires now. No new details but it does state that the Zodiac was "rolled out in all 227 CompUSA stores today." So hopefully this means that finding a store that doesn't have the Zodiac in stock will be more rare than finding one that does.

Also, the contest jackpot has been improved. Jun from Global Source has offered up one of their black leather play-through cases. See the article for a photo and link to their site for more info. So $50 plus a leather case. Come on guys, start snappin' them photos.

One other addition added to the article...
Quote:
Please note: In order to be eligible, your photo must be submitted exclusively to Tapland for the duration of the contest. After the contest is over, you can upload it anywhere you'd like.

Relax, I'm not closing this contest anytime soon. Remember, the photos should be original and interesting, not simply a boring photo of the display (though you're more than welcome to do that, too). In fact, there's no limit on the number of photos that you can enter, though each should be unique.

The thing is, if you submit a lot of similar pics, you might be watering down your votes...
