There's no way Sony's going to release something that big. If they have to, they'll reduce the size of the screen. That thing would around the size of the Atari Lynx, no?

Could some lucky soul with a Z take a look at their charger and find out if it will work with 110 and 220/240 volts?

For the record, and to answer my own question: it's a 110 volts only -- I saw the charger tonight. Oh well, Scott's USB cable find solves that problem for me nicely.

| Scott - I don't agree with the idea for a "thicker" device. Thinner is more easily pocketed - to wit, the Toshiba e740 and the Casio E-11x series. |
... I personally would prefer a shorter, yet thicker, device over a longer, but thinner, device. The devices you mentioned are thick and fairly long. I'm talking about something along the lines of a Sony UX-series or the original Tungsten T (or T2).

A perfect example of this is to compare the Rio Karma with an Apple iPod. Two different design ideas, both pretty elegantly implemented. I'd go with "shorter thicker" in this case because of the issue of battery life. |
